A.C.E.S. MISSION:  To serve and address the unmet needs of the less fortunate in the community.

WHERE IS A.C.E.S.?

 

The A.C.E.S. Building is located on Caroline Street

in the Town of Ashland.*

*long metal building across Route 1 from the Ashland Ukrops.

During operation hours, caring volunteers welcome and assist donors and persons in need.

 

 

 

 DONATIONS

Please consider donating household items, clothing and non-perishable food to A.C.E.S.

Peanut butter, canned vegetables, tuna, and soups are always needed.

Clean & useable household items and clothing are gratefully accepted.

SERVICES PROVIDED

 

On a nondiscriminatory basis, and in coordination with local social, mental health, safe house, and aging service organizations, the following clean & useable items are provided:

● clothing

● bedding

● utensils

● dishes

● pots & pans

● towels & linens

● baby equipment

● household items

● large & small appliances

● furniture

● rugs

Food is available based on family size and verified need.

Emergency Services - assistance with payment for electricity, rent, medications and utilities. These services require referral from Social Services, a cut-off notice for electricity and/or an eviction notice for rent.

Transient Aid - provided as an emergency service, in coordination with the Ashland Police Department, Hanover County Sheriff’s Department, the Virginia State Police and/or local churches.

Medical Equipment -hospital beds, wheelchairs, potty chairs, crutches, walkers and bath stools are available on a loan basis at no cost.

A.C.E.S. is an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 organization. It is supported by community groups, scouts, churches, schools & individuals.
